Career and Technical Education News

These Park View High School Computer Information Systems students recently successfully passed their MOS Excel certification.  This certification will allow them to show their skill and proficiency in Excel to future employers.  Students who successfully passed the test include Sylvia Caldwell, Joseph Clary, Elizabeth Cliborne, Chelsey Jackson, Ronshawn Lambert, Douglas Russell, Ashley Tolbert, and Bryant Wyatt.  Way to go students!

Stacie Goodman, Public Health Outreach Worker with the Mecklenburg County Health Department, visited Mrs. Scruggs Parenting and Mrs. Talley's child care classes. She discussed the programs that the Va. Dept. of Health offer. The students enjoyed an activity on dating etiquette. Mrs. Goodman also discussed the dangers of risky behavior. The lesson ended with an activity on Family Budgeting.
