PVHS Business Students Participate in Google Project

Shelia Beck, Google Implementation Specialist for Mecklenburg County Public Schools, recently worked with Chrystal Harris, Business Teacher at PVHS, and her Accounting students on a Google Collaboration project between students at Park View High School and students in Sain Paul, Oregon. Students collaborated on projects together and were able to work together through the use of Google Docs. This was a fantastic learning experience for the students and they enjoyed seeing different responses from students in Oregon. The students were treated to a "Google Party" at the end of the project to recognize their enthusiasm and dedication for the project.

Students presented Shelia Beck with a shirt showing all of their pictures and a new Google book in recognition of all of her hard work on the project.

Chrystal Harris is shown displaying her Google mug that was given to her by Shelia Beck.

Shelia collaborated with TRT's, Remona Tomko and Stephanie Carter, on a Google Docs presentation that was presented at the Department of Education's Annual Technology Conference in December.

Remona Tomko and Shelia Beck presented their Google Docs presentation at the DOE conference. They were able to share results from the student collaboration project with statewide technology representatives at the conference.

Shelia Beck, "Mama Google" according to the Accounting students, proudly displays her Google socks during the party.
